Flower is a main character and protagonist in Magium.
Appearance[]
Flower is a girl around 9 years old who has a warm expression on her face and long red hair that almost reaches her waist. She is about 4 feet tall. She usually wears a golden amulet housing Arraka around her neck, a gray tank top shirt, large pants commonly worn by clowns and no shoes. She normally has a green eye color, but it turns to red when she is extremely angered and shines bright blue when Illuna is in charge of her body.[1]
Personality[]
Flower is a nice girl who, despite her rude upbringing, manages to maintain a child-like innocence that allows her to easily gain the trust of others. Even upon first meeting the group, she willingly helps them navigate through the ruins and informs them about the various rules of the animal kingdom. most likely because of her unaging properties, she still has a child's perspective on most situations and will fail to read between the lines in most situations, such as when she openly questioned Rose about her appearance in Barry's room in the morning (which results in Illuna smacking themselves).[2]
History[]
Flower was born as an ethereal, a being that identifies with her soul on the ethereal rather then her earthen body. She thought of her body as a puppet of strings and always felt disconnected from her earthen existence. In her early childhood, she fixated on a hobby of acrobatics as a measure of coping with it, and was a member of a circus trope in Olmnar as an acrobat. When the destruction of Olmnar took place twenty years ago, Flower attempted to save a friend but was unsuccessful, and it remains as one her most traumatic memories.[3]
Twenty years ago, Illuna, a banshee, awakened in Flower, leading to them sharing her body in an unaging state. While she had a terrain advantage in her mind and could have defeated Illuna, she allowed her to stay and was delighted to finally have someone to share her life with in the ethereal plane. Their fusion altered their aura so that it could no longer be recognized as a normal humanoid being. As a consequence, the spell cast on Arraka that prevented her from possessing humanoid hosts no longer applied to their fused souls. Because of this, she and Illuna became the guardians of the amulet housing Arraka. Because Arraka is able to break free of the amulet without their constant watch, Illuna proposed that they cast a spell on Flower's body that automatically kills her if she is unconscious for two hours.[4]
It was also around time that she met Fyron, the general of the free goblins, while exploring underground passages, and whom she helped in the creation of his staff.[5] Since then, she has also helped the golden fox, Eleya, whose ruins in the sacred woods she often returns to in order to practice her acrobatics.
Abilities[]
Fire Magic[]
Flower can create and manipulate large amounts of fire to defend and attack against enemies. This is often in the form of large waves of fire, but she can also summon fireballs and even create enough fire to form a fire dragon, which acts and moves according to her wishes.[2] Alongside this, she can also produce jets of fire to create a pseudo-form of flight, which is a lot less steady than an actual flight spell, but still allows her to move in the air and is often used in conjunction with her acrobatic skills.
Acrobatics[]
Because of her status as an Ethereal, she took up the hobby of acrobatics to distract her mind. She often used her time to practice this hobby, and is now able to use it effectively in and out of combat. She can be seen using flips and other tricks to avoid the traps that were lined along the ruins that she was found in,[1]and will often use this talent to avoid attacks in battle. She also wears baggy pants, which is to most likely create less restrictions in her movement compared to tighter pants or jeans.
Others[]
- Food Conjuration Spell: a complex spell that Flower learned from simply watching Eleya use it once. It allows the user to summon a meal of their choice, and appears to be able to summon a vast amount of dishes, ranging from basic meats to cheese cakes.[6]
