The giants are a race mainly residing in the Northern Continent, and split into clans that valorize honor in the wars between them, with a love for battle in their blood. At fifty feet tall with skin impenetrable from an un-enchanted blade, they are formidable foes in battle.
Appearance[]
Giants stand at an staggering height of nearly fifty feet, with thick skin that cannot be pierced by unenchanted blades.[1][2] They have human-sized body proportions.[3]
History[]
The War Against the Dwarves[]
Over fifty years ago, the giants and the dwarves were locked in a devastating war. The bloodshed lasted over a decade, and by its end, dwarven children had grown to have wives and families.[4]
Current Events[]
The giants were not invited to the Magium tournament due to their physical advantages, but were not explicitly forbidden to enter, so long as they remained in a smaller, shapeshifted form.[5]
Culture[]
War and Honor[]
Giants are born with a longing for battle in their blood. The giant nation in the Northern Continent is divided into clans, each overseen by a camp leader. They value honor and instill war crime rules in the battles amoungst themselves, following their credo, "Mahad selak, mahad maktar", "Glory in life, glory in death".[1][4]
To those outside their race, however, these rules do not apply. Underhanded tactics and sabotage, such as the killing of innocent children to reduce the number of future enemy soldiers, was encouraged. Their concept of honor did not extend to outsiders. Giants that expressed sympathy for enemies of another race were labeled as 'sympathizers' and 'honorless dogs' for their betrayal. They would lose the right to call themselves warriors, and no longer had a home with the giants.[4] Outcasts would be forced to learn shapeshifting magic to be accepted into other societies due to their size.[3]
