Hadrik is one of the main character in Magium. He is a Giant from the Northern Continent who was involved in the war with the Dwarves, but chose to transform and live with the Dwarves after being seen a traitor for hesitating to kill the Dwarven youth.
Appearance[]
In his dwarf form, Hadrik appears as a dwarf in his mid-40s, often with a big grin and jolly laughter resembling a friendly tavern owner's. He usually wears a leather armor and boots, and has a black beard that reaches down to his chest. In his giant form, his clothing and appearance are similar but he grows to a height of 50-ft with the body proportions of a human, rather than the shorted legs of a dwarf.[1]
Personality[]
Hadrik has a carefree attitude to life, often wearing a grin on his face, cracking jokes in the face of danger, and enjoying dwarven ale whenever a chance arises. He makes friends easily and wants to see others getting along, which is why he is often quick to propose group activities, such as card games. Having giant blood in his veins, Hadrik has an innate love for the excitement of battle and is always eager to challenge a strong warrior.[1]
History[]
Hadrik is a giant from the Northern Continent. Fifty years ago, while the war between the giants and dwarves still waged, Gontrok and his other giant friends convinced him to push a boulder into a civilian, dwarven village by lying to him that it was hiding soldiers. Ashamed of his actions, Hadrik left his clan and tracked down the relatives of the dwarves he'd killed, and even stayed to raise some of their orphaned children. Since then, he'd spent the majority of his time drinking with dwarves in their taverns and picking up their mannerisms along the way.[2] After travelling in search of adversaries for years, he joined the tournament as a dwarf for the sole purpose of testing his strength against the strongest mages in the world.

Giant Power[]
As a Giant, Hadrik had tremendous strength and endurance compared to human or other creature. They are also naturally immune to sleep spells and partially resistant to paralysis spells.[3] Hadrik keeps his giant power even when he is shapeshifted into dwarf or human form.
Shapeshifting Magic[]
Hadrik uses shapeshifting magic to transform his physical form into a dwarf for the duration of the tournament, while maintaining his giant-like strength and endurance.[1] Hadrik is also capable of turning into other shape, like dragon, eagle, giant snail, and human (with his original body proportion). Hadrik can't use any other spells while shapeshifted.
Aura hardening[]
Hadrik can harden the magical aura around his body to greatly increase his defense and attack power to compensate for his inability to use spell when shapeshifted. It also enable him to punch and deflect elemental magic attack, like fireball.[4]
