The Northern Continent is one of the world's four major continents, and home to giants and dwarves. It has a cold, snowy climate.
Introduction[]
The Northern Continent is named for its cardinal location. This name was termed after the four continents discovered each other's existences. Their previous, separate names were discarded in favor of convenience.[1]
The north is characterized by cold temperatures, and likely has a mountainous terrain, as Hadrik mentioned having pushed a boulder into a valley.[2]
It is inhabited primarily by giants and dwarves. Giants are a resilient race and have thick skin.[3] Dwarves take to drinking to warm themselves in the cold.[4] The continent has a war-torn political atmosphere. Giants have an innate longing for battle and fight wars among their own clans. They have also waged at least a decade-long war against the dwarves.[2]
Inhabitants[]
The sage of the north is Talmak, a dwarven earth elementalist who is considered one of the best masters of his element of the time. He has been the reigning sage for twelve years.[5]
